As part of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, we had the pleasure of collaborating with Chicago Children’s Choir to create “I Sing for Change.” Gandhi revolutionized the fight for justice and freedom in South Africa and India. This production shows how his principles inspired others like Nelson Mandela fighting apartheid in South Africa and Dr. Martin Luther King standing up for civil rights in North America. We are sharing entire performance for you to enjoy as you “Shelter in South Asia” this week. The students do an amazing job and we thank the women who made it all happen – Judy Hanson,Josphine Lee, Roopa Mahadevan and Dr. Gowri Ramnarayan.
