| $10

Event Navigation

Kalapriya’s collaborating artist Dr. Gowri Ramnarayan has scripted a narrative to convey, through the music of the Chicago Children’s Choir,  Gandhi’s spirituality at various stages of his life.
The program will describe how Gandhi’s character drove key events in the history of the nonviolent freedom movement. Josephine Lee and her team have set songs about the importance of resisting injustice with community and compassion through the context of the freedom and civil rights movements from India, South Africa, and America. Non Violence( Ahimsa) and the Power of Truth (Satyagraha) are core tools in Gandhi’s philosophies that continue to be relevant today.”
